Hello,
My name is Austin Perchlak, living in Santa Monica,CA. I am a student learning to become a 3D Environment Artist and Level Designer. I am skilled in Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox, Photoshop, Quixel Suite and Unreal Engine 4. I am focused on building my portfolio currently, while finishing my AA Degree in 3D Animation at Santa Monica College.
I am also Project Manager of a game that is currently in development, it is in the early pre-production phase. The team is relatively small and we are going to be building it using Unreal Engine 4. I am also working on another game project on my own time and it is also in the pre-production phase. My primary goal is to end up in the gaming industry but I can also apply my skills to film or television.
The main purpose of this blog, is to show my workflow and how I go about making 3D environments as well as, getting all that content into a game engine (UE4) and getting the look and feel right in engine.
